A skylight is now visible within the built framing at ENZO Townhomes, revealing how natural light will enter from above and travel into the stairwell below.

It is not simply a brighter ceiling.

It changes how the entire journey between levels feels.

ENZO’s Plan A and Plan A2 homes feature skylights above the upper stairwell. Other ENZO layouts, including Plan A1, use stairwell windows to bring natural light between levels.

Together, these details create brighter passages, greater spatial clarity and an openness more commonly associated with a single-family home.

Skylights in Plan A and Plan A2

Plan A and Plan A2 residences at ENZO feature a skylight positioned above the upper stairwell.

This overhead opening introduces daylight into a part of the home that might otherwise depend entirely on artificial lighting. As daylight changes throughout the day, the stairwell becomes a more visually connected and uplifting space.

Morning light enters from above. Cloud cover softens it. Vancouver rain becomes part of the atmosphere without compromising the privacy of the home.

The skylight does more than illuminate the upper landing. It gives the vertical centre of the residence a greater feeling of height, openness and connection to the outdoors.

Windowed Stairwells in Other ENZO Homes

Other ENZO layouts use windows along the stairwell to introduce daylight from the side.

In Plan A1, stairwell windows bring natural light into the passage on every level. Rather than moving through an enclosed interior corridor, residents remain connected to the changing light outside as they travel through the home.

The architectural approach varies by residence:

• Plan A and Plan A2 bring daylight from above through a skylight.

• Plan A1 brings daylight through stairwell windows across multiple levels.

Both are part of the same ENZO design principle: natural light should continue beyond the living room, kitchen and bedrooms.

Why Natural Light in a Stairwell Matters

A stairwell is used repeatedly throughout the day.

It is the walk downstairs before breakfast. Children moving between bedrooms and living spaces. The passage to a home office. The quiet return upstairs at the end of the evening.

Introducing daylight into this space changes an everyday routine.

The stairwell feels less like a narrow connection between floors and more like an integrated part of the home. Individual levels remain distinct, yet natural light creates a sense of visual continuity between them.

A More Single-Family-Home Feeling

ENZO is a boutique collection of 20 non-stacked, side-by-side townhomes at 530 West 59th Avenue in South Cambie, Vancouver.

Every residence is designed as a complete multi-level home, with no neighbour directly above or below and no shared ceilings or floors. Each home also includes three bedrooms, a den and a flex space.

Skylights and windowed stairwells complement this house-like architecture by bringing natural light into the vertical spaces between rooms.

These are defining ENZO design details—not features added after the layouts were complete, but architectural decisions considered from the beginning.

Now Visible on Site

The August 2026 construction photograph shows one of ENZO’s skylights within the exposed wood framing above the stairwell.

At this stage, the finished walls, flooring and staircase have not yet been installed. Yet the intended effect is already visible: daylight entering from above and reaching into the passage below.

The architecture is beginning to demonstrate how the completed home will feel.

Construction on Schedule for Spring 2027

ENZO construction remains on schedule for completion and move-in readiness in Spring 2027.

The on-site ENZO Display Home is planned to open in Fall 2026, allowing future homeowners to experience the proportions, finishes and house-like design of the residences in person.
